Inspired by the famous Mauritian Boats, La Pirogue, from from which it takes its name, this hotels’ unique architectural style is enhanced by the added warmth of wood and thatch. La Pirogue, built in the mid seventies, was recently renovated fringing a superb white sandy beach graced by the most glorious sunsets, remains true to its traditional values of authentic island hospitality, romance and tranquillity. The hotel boasts an immense pool of more than 1000 square metres that merges into the Indian Ocean. A harmonious combination of cosy coves and open play areas, with islets this “pool of pools” represents the centre of the hotel.
