This legendary 5 star hotel, member of the “Leading Small Hotels of the World”, is located at Turtle Bay on the North West coast of Mauritius. It encompasses 20 acres of lush tropical gardens, 600 meters of oceanfront and is surrounded by a turquoise lagoon; a majestic range of green mountains that can be seen on the horizon. The unusual architecture of this exclusive property has been created by well-renowned Thai architect Lek Bunnag. Mr. Bunnag was influenced and inspired in his work by Mauritian heritage and culture Interior designer H.L. Lim from Singapore has sought to create a serene décor by using soft and subtle coloured natural fabrics and timbers, thus creating a light and soothing atmosphere.

Indigenous materials were used as much as possible to capture the spirit of the island and to provide an environmentally friendly approach. Sugar cane thatch covers the roofs; volcanic boulders have been used for the walls of the gardens which boast tropical plants and shrubs.
