Situated on the south east coast of Mauritius, and only ten minutes drive from the airport you find the hotel set one the edge of the Blue Bay Marine Park and the Old Grand Port Lagoon. Blue Lagoon Beach Hotel reopening in December 2004 after an extensive renovation offers now two categories of rooms. With the renovation the hotel has improved its facilities equivalent to a 3 start category but maintaining it 2 start plus prices level offering value for money.

The new Blue Lagoon Beach Hotel offers a vast range of culinary delights in either of the two restaurants. The main dinning room offers a buffet nightly where one can experience a different theme each evening, ranging from Indian buffets to traditional Mauritian Buffets.

Relax and soak up the sun whilst sipping a refreshing cocktail or for the more energetic guest we have a large range of land and water sports available free of charge. Live entertainment is provided including the resident band as well as traditional Sega and Indian Dance Shows.

Not long from the hotel you find Ile Aigrettes, a 5-hectare islet consisting of an old calcareous coral reef partially overlain by sand and soil deposits. It is an internationally important site as it was declared a nature reserve in 1965. Many of the plants found there grow nowhere else in the world.
